"Fantastic experience. The communication with the office before my consultation and procedure was stellar. Upon my initial call, I was easily taken care of and scheduled by Patrick. My forms and any additional information was sent to me ahead of time. Check in was a breeze and the office was cozy and calm. Dr. Amin quickly assessed the problem area and explained the necessary root canal and the steps it would involve in an easy to understand manner. Dr. Amin and his assistant were professional, courteous, and very efficient. My consultation and treatment were complete in under an hour which I really appreciated as I was nervous for my first ever root canal. "Ketan Amin, DMD is the ONLY Endo I want to have work on my teeth! He is gentle, kind and thorough in explanation. His staff is also very kind and informative and sensitive to the pain that goes with needing a root canal. He and his assistant do everything to keep you as comfortable as possible during the procedure, and quick to answer any questions before and after. I was so relieved to be able to hold an appointment for a few days after I sensed a problem, awaiting a DDS to confirm. Dr. Amin has worked on 2 other teeth for root canals and I'm so grateful he was there for me again. Kudos to Austin Center for Endodontics."

"Went to my regular dentist for a semi annual appt and found one of my front teeth had gone dead and changed colors. They recommended Dr Amin. Called same day and got an appt for the next day to see Dr. Amin for consultation and treatment. Great customer service by his crew and great treatment by Dr. Amin. He came in and explained what probably happened to the tooth. Showed me again that it had no feeling to it and the root was dead. We went ahead with a root canal and we were all done in about 40 minutes! They were great!"
"I was referred here by Great Grins Dental for a root canal. My experience here renewed my trust in dentists! I had to get a root canal and had some pretty awful past experiences in the dentist chair (not at Great Grins!!), not to mention the general fear surrounding root canals. Dr. Karim took special care to explain everything and check in on me as we progressed. They also have a TV on the ceiling and headphones so I watched Netflix while they finished up the treatment. Overall, it was a great experience and the staff here are gentle and kind!"

"I needed a root canal and was referred here by regular dentist. I'd never had a root canal before and was terrified of the possible pain I might experience. I brought my earbuds to play a podcast to keep my mind occupied. I mentioned I was nervous while being seated for the procedure. During the initial injection of the anesthetic, the assistant rubbed my arm and tried to calm me down. I didn't expect that level of kindness. I've never seen that before. It really made me feel cared for. The procedure went smoothly and they coordinated with my regular dentist to get the permanent filling done for my crown. As dental experiences go, this was top notch!"
"Dr. Amin and his staff made my visit very comfortable. I was so nervous when I learned I needed a root canal. I didn't sleep the night before, and thought about cancelling my appointment several times. But, when I arrived at the office, the staff offered me headphones with my choice of music, or I could watch a show on Netflix. Dr. Amin explained everything, and it went so smoothly. "Dr. Amin, D.M.D. was recommended to me by Mesa Dental. Unfortunately, I needed to have a root canal consultation and was confirmed to need the procedure to take place at a later date. Obviously the idea of a root canal is scary and intimidating to say the least, but Dr. Amin is genuinely very good at what he does. He's extremely accomplished, has wonderful bedside manner, puts you at ease and is professional every step of the way. He made my boyfriend feel welcome in the room and his staff is also just as wonderful. I have a pretty severe phobia of dental work, and honestly, the procedure couldn't have gone any better for me. Yes, there is pain after-the-fact, but it's inevitable. The procedure itself was painless and completed in less than an hour. "Good bed side manner. Quick and efficient during the procedure. communicative and explained everything. No one WANTS to get a root canal but it REALLY wasn't that bad at all. Between the gas, the topical stuff he used and the pulling on the cheek during the initial injections for pain, it really didn't hurt."

"I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Amin and his office staff. First off, it was a very quick, painless procedure. The worst part was the shot to numb me, and then the rest was smooth sailing. The tv mounted to the ceiling and big headphones kept me distracted, and it was over before I knew it. When he told me it was over I didn't believe him! Seriously an experience I was dreading but came out smiling. 5 stars all the way!"

"My dentist referred me to Dr.Amin for. Foot canal procedure. I was able to get an appointment the same day. I liked that I could fill out all the necessary paperwork online. It makes the visit less stressful. As soon as I checked in I had a couple of attestations to read and agree to on their mobile tablet. Within minutes I was taken to the back.Dr. Amin was very thorough with explaining what he was going to do. I did appreciate the choice of listening to music on Pandora or a show on Netflix while he worked on my tooth.The procedure went smoother than I imagined. If I ever need another root canal done I would schedule an appointment with Dr. Amin."

"So I was having pain, dull ache that was getting progressively worse, went to my dentist and she put a crown on...Was still having pain, she referred me to Austin Center for Endodontics...Went in for evaluation, took X-rays , Dr Amin showed me where the pain was coming from and said a root canal was in order....I was sweating it for a week until my scheduled root canal....Fear not anymore, I was in and out in about 35-40 minutes and was completely painless....Dr Amin and his staff were excellent...Highly recommended...!"

"This is an update to my previous review. I am giving 5 stars this time to average out the pervious review I gave of 2 stars given based on the follow up given by this dentist. I still have problems with the 2 teeth mentioned before that will need expensive follow up. But, what inspired me to write a better review is that I really appreciate that Dr Amin personally contacted me after reading my post. He took the time to follow up with me and make suggestions that might help in my treatment moving forward. I'm not sure why my previous treatment failed but I do find it commendable that this doctor took the time to follow up with me and offer advice moving forward, I believe that shows a level of care that goes beyond the norm and that is why I am now giving 5 stars. I believe that every one should have opportunities to rectify problems, and given the current situation (I now live in CA) I believe that Dr Amin did all he could to try to make things right."

"I was terrified when I realized I needed a root canal, but Dr. Amin's professionalism and confidence in approaching my procedure put me at ease. He and his staff understood that while they see root canals daily, this was a new adventure for me. Dr. Amin did fantastic work and I felt minimal pain. He and his staff were very clear about after care, and when I was concerned I wasn't healing correctly they rushed my right in same day to see he doctor. "I was in need of a root canal and referred to Dr. Amin by my regular dentist. Visiting the dentist in general has always been a source of anxiety for me so naturally, I was very nervous about getting my first ever root canal. Dr. Amin and his staff made the experience very easy and nearly painless for me. When making the appointment with his receptionist via phone I provided all of my insurance information. Within a few hours I was sent an email with a summary of estimated costs so that I knew what to expect the day of the appointment. His office staff was very friendly. Dr Amin was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He took time to tell me what to expect and what he was planning to do during the root canal. There was even a TV mounted to the ceiling and his assistant gave me headphones so that I could listen to Pandora while they worked. I was in and out of his office in less than an hour. Who would've thought a root canal could take less than an hour! The procedure was painless and I experienced very little pain afterwards when the numbness wore off. Dr. Amin made the whole experience very easy."

"First, I feel a little sorry for Dr. Amin, because literally no one says, "Yay! Dental surgery!" That said, he really does everything to make it as painless as possible, primarily by being fast, competent and having cutting edge equipment. He is also chill about me noise cancelling headphones, crucial for my mental ability to withstand dental business of any kind. He and his staff are very pleasant and empathetic when a patient (cough-cough, asking for a friend) starts to sweat profusely and vaguely spazzes out from what may or may not be a root-canal pre-stress related migraine. He was re-doing a previous root canal of mine where the endodontist missed a canal. He had my crown drilled through, material out, canal murdered (or whatever the scientific term is - likely not that), and antibiotics packed in - all in about 45 minutes. He provided clear follow up instructions, all while exhibiting the glow of extreme competence. As someone who's had some very subpar dental work, save yourself the long term costs that result from short term savings. I recommend Dr. Amin's office very highly."
"I had an A+ experience at Dr. Amin's office! The reception staff was attentive and helpful and got my insurance figured out before I even arrived. I was also able to schedule an appointment quickly and easily that fit with my hectic work schedule. Dr. Amin is friendly and knowledgable with a pleasant sense of humor. When he examined my previous root canal that I had done somewhere else, he saw a small problem developing that could later turn into a big problem so we got it fixed up and set straight in just 30 minutes. He also bleached my root canal-ed front tooth and it looks as good as new. I'm thankful for the help they provided me and would definitely recommend a visit to Dr. Amin for any endodontic needs."
"if your coworker asked you "what'd you do for lunch today?" you might say "i grabbed some tacos at torchy's". others might say "i checked out the shoe sale at DSW". i would say "i had a root canal". and i'd say it with a big (if lopsided) smile on my face.yes, i had a root canal - in at noon and out by 1. yes, i had a root canal - no discomfort (much less pain) before, during, or after. yes, i had a root canal and I DIDN'T MIND IT ONE BIT. yes, yes, yes.Dr. Amin is the man. he is the one making allllll of the other doctors out there who do root canals look bad. he is kind; he is skilled; he is mellow; he explains everything gently and thoroughly; he answers all of your questions without making you feel rushed. i would have to say that my root canal was a thoroughly enjoyable experience (for what it was). yeah i used "root canal" and "enjoyable" in the same sentence just then.staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. office is modern and high tech. anesthetics are doled out in the manner and quantity needed by the patient. and you get to listen to your fave pandora station, or watch netflix on the in-ceiling monitor while he is in there doing his magic.of course the standard, almost required, parting valediction when leaving a root canal is along the lines of "thanks - but i hope i never have to see you again" (although all garbled and drooly) - and i probably uttered those very words. but i kind of secretly hope i need another root canal some day!highly recommended. thanks dr. amin and staff!"
"Who ever heard of an enjoyable root canal experience ? Indeed, it was... never in my life have I raved to countless people (strangers and family alike) right after the procedure of what an absolutely amazing root canal I had... I honestly doubted the use of even posting a review, (knowing Dr. Amin's office would have a plethora of 5-star ratings)....but I finally figured... even if I'm the millionth, so be it... Hard work, dedication and kindness deserve it.Every aspect, from the actual medical procedure (whereby I was completely put at ease, experienced NO pain--contrary to my last root canal, enjoyed pandora via headphones they provided) to the friendliness of staff, overall efficiency (appointment, wait time, even the procedure was only 45 minutes) and...as if they're really trying to melt my heart ...sustainability efforts....no cutting down trees, as seems to be the goal of every new medical specialist office we find ourselves in (in the U.S.)...no paperwork, Dr. Amin brings the computer to you, if you don't happen to have filled it out online in advance.There are comments about the price being higher than average. This was an emergency appointment...the night before I was in so much pain I was about to pull my own tooth out...Most patients who come to the clinic have emergency root canals like myself, and, like myself, are "fit in same day". I in no way felt rushed/like I was being "fit in".... Putting the financial reality aside (at the end of the day, we are living within the American medical system, which is more expensive than others), if it is slightly more expensive than expensive anyway, in my mind that's nothing when you get a team of medical professionals in whom you feel 100% instant trust and confidence. Cannot recommend more highly. :)"

I felt like he cared about my situation and truly wanted to make sure I was comfortable with everything ahead of time. My root canal was quick and easy. How many people do you know that would say that about a root canal??! I'm so thankful for the entire office's kindness, professionalism, and such high quality work. "I had a root canal done by Dr. Amin last October while visiting friends in Austin. I was 100% pleased with my experience and I knew that it was much better than I had anticipated, but I had nothing to compare it to until yesterday. A different tooth needed a root canal, so I went to an endodontist who is much closer to me and learned that going back to Dr. Amin would have been well worth the four hour drive. I intended to write a review for his office immediately following my visit, but yesterday's unfortunate experience highlighted the sharp contrast between offices and I feel newly motivated to recommend Austin Center for Endodontics. I felt at ease from the moment I walked into Dr. Amin's office. His office and staff are warm, friendly, and calm. Check-in was quick and easy since his office emails the registration link ahead of time. I was led back to my chair where I selected a Netflix show to pass the time (a great distraction!) Dr. Amin greeted me and was so friendly and informative. He confirmed the problem with my tooth and got started. The numbing injections (normally the worst part of any dental treatment for me) weren't bad at all. I really have to give props here to his assistant as she was incredibly soothing and really softened the whole experience for me. I can't remember what her name is, but she was incredible. The rest of the treatment is a blur to me, as I was heavily distracted by Netflix. I didn't even finish the TV show episode I was watching before Dr. Amin was completely done! Checking out of the office was a breeze, and I left feeling more like I'd just had a relaxing break away from my kids than a root canal. I was grateful then, but I'm even more appreciative now that I've learned my lesson: when you find an endodontist who makes a root canal seem more like a vacation than a chore, you should stick with him."
"If you are needing a root canal or any sort of oral surgery, this is the place to go! Like most people, I hate having any dental work done. I got my first root canal done here and it was honestly more enjoyable than getting my regular teeth cleaning done at the dentist. The front desk is so helpful and nice! And Dr. Amin made me feel very comfortable. You are even able to watch Netflix during your procedure, they have a tv on the ceiling! I didn't feel a thing during the procedure, and it was over so quickly that I didn't even finish my Netflix episode! I highly highly recommend this place!"
"After skipping my last few 6 month dental checkups (lesson learned: never again) I discovered that a deep cavity required me to have a root canal in one of my molars. I've only had a few simple fillings in my life and was VERY nervous to have any serious work done. I had the root canal this past Monday, and was in and out of the office in under 45 minutes. The root canal was completely painless and you even have the option to listen to Pandora while all of the drilling is happening. Everyone in the office was so sweet and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Dr. Amin & team to anyone needing treatment!"
"I was recommended to Dr. Amin by my dentist when I found out I need a root canal. I was pretty nervous, but it was definitely one of the easiest, quickest, and best procedures I've ever had done! I arrived at the office for my 3:30 appointment, and was out of there by 4:30! The root canal was absolutely painless (worst part was my drool everywhere!). They give you the option to watch Netflix or listen to Pandora while you're getting stuff done, so I was enjoying a movie while getting my teeth fixed! Not only was Dr. Amin great, but all the other staff I interacted with (receptionist, dental assistant) were amazing as well!"
"There were a few doctors in my network, but thanks to you fellow yelpers, I found Dr. Amin.Front office (Erika) is very friendly and patient with me switching appointments that worked for me. She answered all of my questions regarding fees, coverages, and even accommodated my 6-year old daughter who had to tag along on day of appointment. Easy paperless forms to complete so you just show up on the day of treatment. Very nice office with complimentary coffee and water. Dr Amin and Makayla (sp?) were very pleasant and put me at ease, explaining everything every step of the way. You can watch a movie or listen to music to distract you during the procedure. Definitely not what I expected out of a root canal. Most importantly, I did not feel any pain! It's the day after and no discomfort that ibuprofen can't fix.TIP: Although google maps will tell you otherwise, there is no entrance to the Bank of America building off of Research. You have to enter through Northland Drive."

"Dr. Amin is the best!!!! I had two root canals done in one sitting. I didn't feel a thing. The staff is so friendly & sweet. He does so much to ease your anxiety and also keep you as comfortable as possible. "I ended up at Dr. Amin's office purely by accident -- I needed emergency root canal treatment and he had availability that day. It turned out to be a vert fortuitous accident!His staff is exceptionally friendly and professional, and Dr. Amin himself is as nice as can be. He was efficient, thorough and did a fantastic job. I was especially pleased that he called the next day to check on me. There's not really much more that needs to be said -- I recommend him very highly.He has a great location in the Bank of America building at 2222 and Mopac, with plenty of parking and easy access from anywhere in central Austin."
"My dentist referred me to Dr. Amin without hesitation after he decided that a root canal was necessary. He's easily accessible off of MoPac, and there's ample parking in a surface lot. The office is very well kept and, for lack of a better term, modern. Rather than filling out paperwork, you're directed to a monitor and keyboard that are hanging on a wall where information can be entered, though the option of traditional paperwork is always available. Bottled water, tea, and coffee are provided in the waiting room, and Pixie was as accommodating as Dr. Amin was personable. This is important, as most practitioners with similar credentials and acclaim tend to be, I've found, on a different level and somewhat intense. Dr. Amin was genuinely positive and quietly confident. This can go a long way if a patient is unsure or worried. The practice is small in size (3 employees), which is exactly what you want in a specialist.The procedure itself was extremely fast and painless. As others have stated, a screen is mounted on the ceiling and you've got the options of Netflix, etc. The medical technology was top of the line, including incredibly fast imaging pre- and post-procedure.The most important thing I want to stress is the lack of pain, both during and after the root canal. Your jaw will end up being the most sore area, and this is simply from holding your mouth open for nearly an hour. A day later and I feel absolutely nothing unless I'm eating, in which case I feel slight soreness that's by no means uncomfortable. Dr. Amin provides pain medication if necessary, but I haven't had to take anything past the 800mg of Ibuprofen I was given.The phone call I received later that evening was the icing on the cake. I wasn't able to answer but Dr. Amin left a short message checking up on me. As someone who's had to put on a fake face when dealing with customers, it's always refreshing to sense that someone actually gives a crap. A followup call is usually indicative of a person that takes great pride in their work. Ever had a shoddy mechanic call you the next day to see how your car is running?The price reflects the service, and the lack of discomfort is absolutely worth it."
"If you have any fears of the dentist, this is the place to go!! Dr. Amin is a Harvard grad, extremely brilliant, humble, approachable, and always willing to answer all your questions and offer all the reassurance you need before you have a procedure done so there is no guessing involved. I had an old root canal from 10 years ago that I never had crowns placed on until recently. I went to my dentist's office in Houston and he placed the crowns...a week later I noticed swelling and tenderness in my gums and had xrays done....they were reinfected!! I was referred to Dr. Amin by a family member that spoke very highly of him, the only problem was that I had to drive to Austin to get it done. He offered to look at my X-rays, explained everything I was looking at, and told me what I needed done. He got me in rather quickly from there. Because my treatment plan included replacing the root canals and surgery the next day I didn't want to go to just anyone. It was definitely worth the trip. He did explain to me that there was a chance that I would need the crowns replaced in case they were damaged in the process before anything was done. He even made sure with me that my dentist was willing to replace the damaged crowns if anything was to happen to them, which was very considerate of him. BUT...he was able to save the crowns! He explained EVERYTHING he was doing before he did it and what I was going to feel. He frequently checked on me to make sure I wasn't in any pain and checks on you later in the day too...I've never had a dentist do that before. Pixie and Erica were great too. One of them even rubbed my arm when I was getting the anesthetic injected. I'm a nurse and didn't think I was the type of person that would be comforted by that type of thing....but it was so nice. =) They even have a TV on the CEILING and headphones so you can watch Netflix or listen to music. All of the equipment is modern, tiny X-Ray machine, consent forms are on the computer, and you fill out your health history through a link they send you through your email so you don't have to fill out paperwork by hand. It doesn't get easier than that! Dr. Amin and his team left me in such good shape that I was able to drive back to Houston straight from the office after having the surgery. I have absolutely no regrets making that trip to Austin, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat if anything else popped up. Dr. Amin is mindful of your time, money, fears, and genuinely loves what he does. I wish he was in Houston!!"
"I was referred to Dr. Amin for a root canal, having a dental background my self I went in knowing what to expect from the treatment but must say the experience was much better than I could have asked, wished, or prayed for!!! Treatment was fast and pain-free!!! Dr. Admin shows passion for his patients and really has a heart for dentistry. He made me feel really comfortable from the time of the consultation and all through out the treatment. His staff was awesome!!! Erica (front desk) was so kind and greets you at the door with a warming smile! "Thank you Dr. Amin, Erica and Pixie!!! I have been putting off a root canal for 2 years due to fear of the dentist. I even considered having my tooth pulled to avoid a root canal. I was crying and shaking when I sat in the chair due to my fear but I can say the whole procedure, even the injections were PAIN FREE, let me repeat, ZERO PAIN.I was impressed with the fact that they gave me 4 extra strength advil to take with me and instructions to come back in 6 months for a xray to make sure the healing process completed. Oh and also I like the fact that they gave me an antibiotic script to lessen the chance of infection which occasionally happens with a root canal. If you need a root canal and want ZERO PAIN(plus a wonderful staff) go to Austin Center for Endodontics."
"Quick, Easy, Painless root canal treatment - what else does one want.A little expensive as compared to getting root canal done from a regular dentist mainly coz this guy is a specialist. You pay little extra - and you get top class treatment. Dr. Amin is very approachable; he calls back to check on you post treatment.The office is nice; theres a TV you can watch to keep you distracted while the doctor is working on your teeth. "I have to start this review by saying how much I miss having Dr. Amin here in Phoenix as my to go guy for ALL of my patients who needed a root canal treatment. Dr. Amin was recommended to me by another dentist so I thought I would give him a try when I first opened my office in 2008 (I'm a general dentist). From the first patient that I sent there to the last, all of them gave me raving reviews as to how well their appointments went with him. It's hard enough to have to give my patients the bad news of needing a root canal treatment, but it was extremely easy to tell them, without a doubt, that Dr. Amin will take great care of them. Not only is he personable with my patients, but I truly felt confident in his work. He is one of the few endodontists who will actually clean out ALL of the decay like you are supposed to with the completion of the root canal treatment. "I was in town for a developer conference, when a tooth ache struck at the worst time. I knew I needed an endodontist and luckily Dr. Amin worked me into his schedule that day. I've seen different dental specialists in the past, but he still was a cut above the rest. Very professional and compassionate. His office is immaculate and modern: I was able to watch Netflix during the entire procedure! He and his team were great! So humble too; on the way out, I find out he went to Harvard Dental School...Highly recommend!!"
